Hello all;
My name is Steve, I live West of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in a city called Spruce Grove.
I picked up a 1946 1/2 ton from a fellow down in Calgary a month ago. It had been restored in the 80's but since then has been allowed to deteriorate. It was not running when I bought it and have spent the last few weekends checking things and getting it ready to start.
I got it started last week, but had a parking brake cable seized so it would not move.
Well, after freeing up the stuck cable, today I got it back on 4 wheels and went for a spin around the block!
Very cool, super excited!

Thank-you for this site, it has helped me numerous times already!
Already, I have met another Bolter who lives on my street and several other neighbors who have old trucks.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
