Does anybody have pictures of the bracket that goes under the rear springs that holds the link of lever shocks? Mine is a 49 GMC with double action shocks. What the truck came with were two, built with the butt, plates. I bought the front shock brackets from a junkyard and they sold me the rear as well, but I don't think the rear are original. One looks like a piece of spring leaf with holes and the one that holds the link looks like cast iron with an angled shape, but hd a new hole cut with a lighter instead of a drill. I see most convert to tube shocks but I want to keep original.

Many GMC 1/2-1 ton truck parts match up with Chevrolet 1/2-1 ton trucks.
Are you a member of oldGMCtrucks.com discussion boards? There are members there with documentation and GMC knowledge. Some of members here are members there. They might be able to help. Be patient - good luck.
Here, or there, post the size of the GMC.

I definitely have the dual-action lever shocks, which are currently removed for rebuild.

Mine is a 1/2 ton short bed. I will appreciate Greg the pictures. It is not a matter of life and death, just want to know what to look for or if the plates I have are correct. Have part No from the catalog but nothing appears anywhere on the net.

You could look in the Truck Parts for Sale forum, or post in the Truck Parts Wanted forum. Alternatively, you could try the 67-72 Trucks Forum. It's a lot more hot-rodding focused and people are regularly changing out complete suspensions. Good Luck. Greg
