Can the steering column be removed from the bottom of the frame when its up on an average set of Walmart jack stands, or do you have to get it up higher like with a lift?

Basically, you manipulate the steering box down enough so that the top of the steering column come out of the firewall and then bring the whole assembly (column and steering box) up and out through the top.

You mean that it will slide forward enough to tilt up, how bout the hood will it clear that?
Man, looking at it again and it sure don't look like it will go far enough forward to clear the firewall with out haveing it up pretty high.
Well based on that I guess I'll put it on the list of things to be done. before I do the full cab off, frame up work this fall.
