Drove down to Hambone's this afternoon with the hood in the back and he and Jack helped me reinstall it to complete (more or less...) the whole project. Kinda sums it upProject completeHooked up to the exhaust system, it's amazing how quite and smooth that engine runs. Equally impressive is how smoothly, and with authority, it accelerates. It went to 65 without hardly trying. And only a little more pedal took it to 70. Thanks Jerry!! A very therapeutic weekend. JM

Jerry amazes me with his knowledge and hope he can attend the Homecoming. Good story but one glitch though, There are no highways in your area that have a 70 mph speed limit. With your connections, I'm thinking you took a fast run down a airport landing strip. Don

That's what I've always loved about doing hands-on stuff- - - - -when something works right the results are obvious. Unfortunately, so is the occasional screwup! I've had a couple of epic hand grenade episodes on the dyno that had us looking for a place to hide from the flying bits and pieces. Glad this one can be chalked up to the "success" column! Jerry

We hit 80 coming off a mountain in the rain with trailer and truck on the trailer. Tim took a picture of the speedo, to show the folks back home. I had a great time on that road trip and Tim, hope you can make it back again. Vicki is wanting me to go down under and take a walk about.
