Hello , just joined this week. A lot of info on this site. I have a 48 chevy thrift master 1 ton , a 49 chevy 4400 and a 49 3/4 ton pickup. I'm currently working on the 4400. Pulling the old frozen motor and plan to replace it with a 68 292 engine that I have acquired . I plan on doing a lot of reading here on the forums and look forward to talking to some of you and appreciate any advice from the experienced members as well. Thanks George

Welcome to the Bolt. Be sure to check in at the 1 ton forum and for engine questions be sure to post in the Engine Forum. There are quite a few bolters in the Ill. area so be on the watch for them!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Welcome to the Garage.
I hope to be traveling across I-64 not far from you next April?
Usually stop at Mt. Vernon for a quick break.
The ODSS Homecoming will happen then.

Enjoy the site and don't be shy about posting.
