I bought some used industrial shelving units. Also known as pallet rack shelving. I bought 2 identical units and the seller delivered them to my home. It's used but in terrific shape. Galvanized too! They were once used in a freezer unit. Anyway, these are the perfect size for my shop. They are tall enough to be over my head and strong enough to hold whatever I want to put on them. I just need to add a few sheets of 3/4" plywood for the shelves. Each unit is 9' X 9' and 42" deep with enough pieces to make 2 shelves per unit. '47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Having a forklift makes pallet racks much better than without.

Got 'em from a building I used to work in when we "upgraded" the maintenance shop. The property manager said "throw 'em in the garbage bin" to make room for the new shelving.  So much for "recycling". My supervisor wrote me a receipt for $5 to show anyone I didn't steal 'em if anyone saw me loading them into my truck. I used 3/4" plywood too.
