38 Chev, Nice ride! I too am an owner of a Canadian GM product. I am trying to determine the original location for the data plate on my 37 Canadian made GMC. Could you please take a picture of your data plates location and post it here? Here is my data plate, 1937 GM data plate, Regina factory
Hello Bogart's Truck I will get you a picture of the location when home in a couple of days. I recall that the location on my truck for the data plate is on the right side fire wall near the heater outlet pipes, but will make sure with a picture for you. Brian
Hello Bogart's Truck: I just looked through some old pictures and do have the location of the serial plate before removing it. I am going to try sending it to you with the new resize/picture feature, so hope that you get them, and also wonder if you can expand the pictures larger under this new process. Brian
Thanks a million for the photo. I have asked multiple times in various forums for this info and you are the first to respond. I also have the MGVW tag like you show and now I know where that may go as well. I even wrote to the ROYAL AVIATION MUSEUM OF WESTERN CANADA in Winnipeg since they have a 1937 T-16 (Canadian made) on display. They didn't respond to my email.
As for the photos, they are low definition and although I can blow them up they get fuzzy quick.
Hello Bogart's Truck: If you want a better picture quality, my email address is: bbrockel@telus.net and I can send pictures easier that way. I have too much trouble trying to send any with the photo bucket or other sites. Brian
I just received a set of hubcaps that I purchased from a Stovebolt member (Big Tee) and just installed them on the truck along with new tires, & painted wheels and decided to take a couple of pictures of the truck. I realize that they are for a 1939, but as this hopefully will be a daily driver some day, they do help the appearance. I am gathering most of the parts that look like may be required before I start the restoration, as this truck is still original as when it was purchased. I have one question, in that I am considering the 3:55 gear upgrade, and am wondering if "Mother Trucker" in Arizona has a current web site, or catalogue available, as can not seem to come with any thing current. I am trying the new procedure for resized pictures so hope it works again. Brian
If we are going to begin a discussion of rear differential gears please start a new thread in the Driveline Forum. Thanks

Sorry about the question asked above, but thought that it would be appropriate to ask in the "General Truck Talk" Forum as I was not implying that we would be carrying on any long term discussions about any specific subject. As you can see I am a fairly new member by the posts I have posted, but am learning.
