I notice there are always a lot of posts on here with folks asking for tire size advise for their trucks. Maybe it's been done already (please point me to it if it has!) but would there be any interest in a thread for photos of our trucks with detials about wheel size, tire size, and any suspension changes to help everyone get an idea of what their options are and what they will look like?

Zenwren, that is quiet the idea for sure but the biggest snag is "manpower". All "employees" of the Bolt are Volunteers, unless someone is getting paid and I'm not, so this would be a "task" to say the least.

However, many bolters have written up Tech Tips that are included in that section. Yes, it'd be nice to have a chart showing
1) the replacement sizes from belted to radials 2.) sizes compatible, small to large, or what fits including size/width of rim.

Included in that tech tip would be the definition of what each number and letter means so that new members would have a reference point in deciding what/how to do.

It would take some time, and input from members, but being worth while?. I'm sure someone else will let us know how they feel.

It's a pretty common thing on other car forums. You just post a picture of your truck and mention the specs, no one has to do any collaborating.

Zenwren -- Thanks for volunteering to start one! Once there's enough input, I can make a Tech Tip out of it so the info stays resident in an easily accessed location. I, for one, will be happy to ... um ... collaborate.

Not the greatest picture, but these are my new 215/85r16 tires on correct 16 inch rims. No tubes needed by installer. Haven't driven yet. But they sure look good sitting there

There are Grantland Milestar tires. Caught them on sale and Walmart online and shipped to store. Paid a real tire shop to install.

Will try to get a different angle that shows the "tall and skinny" look of them.

Here's my glorified parts truck sporting a set of worn out 205/75r15 on late 60's 15x6 rims and stock sagging springs. I love the narrow look from the front but they look a tad small in the sidewall IMO.

My 41 3/4 ton has TF (55-59) front and rear axles from PO. It had 17.5 wheels on it but I put 8x19.5 on it. I like the way it fills out the wheel well, and it's a taller tire. Was a bit concerned about them rubbing the fenders, but so far so good.
