The only common sheet metal between GMC's and Chevies is the cab, doors, and bed. Fenders, grille, hood, tailgate are all differant. You will have to mess with the radiator mounts to get it all to fit.

It sounds like a lot of guys have the same idea and they may be getting hard to find.
There are a lot of die hard GMC guys out there, and the GMC parts (in good shape) may be worth hanging on to for awhile.

I'm sure you can find somebody to trade parts, if not trucks. Please don't scrap them.
