First off, my lack of knowledge here is total. That out of the way, I've installed a 12v radio in my 6v truck with the help of a step-up transformer (?) from ebay. Works great. The radio's currently mounted on the front of the seat sorta outta sight. I plan to move it to the glove box and to that end bought a longer antenna cable,this one.

The problem is not knowing what a Motorola end was, that's what I have on the antenna end of the cable. My question is what do I need to buy to replace the Motorola end so I can screw the coax to the antenna. A web site or link would be great!

Thanks for the response, I should have added the radio isn't a vintage unit but this one. Has bluetooth, remote and very compact size.

I have every confidence that a very few years ago I could have visited Radio Shack, rummaged around a bit and found what I needed. Oh for the old days.....sometimes.

If you have the same connector system on the radio as your antenna than you just need an extension. If the radio has a different connector style then that is a different story. You could give these folks a try with an Email Gary Tayman

Thanks for the link. Those older antenna items don't show up in the store much anymore. Our Walmarts up here have almost completely done away with Automotive items for sale.
