The temp gauge has always worked fine. Past weekend the needle was completely off gauge to low temp side until truck warmed up to 190 degrees ( tested with temp tool) and the needle only registered about 1/4 of gauge up. Usually at 190 it would be just pat 1/2 on gauge. What gives. Any advice? Test: Remove temp sender wire and leave loose. Turn key to run (no need to start). Gauge will go full hot or full cold. Key off, ground sender wire to good ground, key to run. Gauge will go to opposite peg.
If this happens, do as Bill suggest, your sender is bad.
