Without seeing them or the head, my initial thought is he has a 235 head that came on Corvettes. I'll txt you later today for pic. If it is and if he'll sell it for a reasonable price, you might want to buy it.

18 bolt head - high-pressure 235/261 head
Does it have four screw holes for the valve cover? | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 3,504 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 3,504 | Cool....had no idea
The RAJO head led me to a thread on the HAMB where a lady had one in a running/driving 1953 car. Looks crazy, but sounds like it actually ran great.

A converted original casting will look somewhat different, even have near-vertical extra ports. | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 444 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 444 | | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,608 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,608 | | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,915 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,915 | Can't find any more text WRT increased compression or combustion chamber shape. According to an original ad, the extra 1 bbl. carburetor's linkage is progressive and can be adjusted to operate only at higher speeds. | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 | It's a Rajo or a clone.it says Arco on it.but it definitely isn't a stock,235 head. | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 | I have an original thickstun dual carb intake with original Fenton headers with the heat risers built in.this plus that head.wow | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,915 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,915 | | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 | Oh wow,so I think I just got the deal of a life time. | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,915 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,915 | IIRC that head already has the Powerglide 1-15/16" valves. | | |
