Hello to the Stovebolt members, especially to the folks that provide this site for everyone to learn more about their truck. I am finally getting to a 1938 Chevrolet truck that was my fathers vehicle on a farm in Alberta. I retrieved the truck when the farm was sold in the late 1960's and have had it under cover ever since, but no time to start the restoration process, hopefully at least to a daily driver. I became a member of this site in 2011, but this is my first attempt to post here, although I have been reading as much as possible to educate myself on this truck and the process of restoration, and will be looking for help and advice as I proceed further along here.

Welcome to the site. I just travelled through BC 2 weeks ago. Beautiful province.
Good foresight to not only save the truck but also to keep it under cover all these years. Also nice to have a family truck. Maybe it will be passed down at some point.
The pre-war trucks are rarer than most on this site. Is it a half ton? It sure is a pretty body style. Maybe we can see a few pics.
Good luck as you bring this truck back from a long hibernation.

Thank you all for the welcome to the Stovebolt site. I am attempting to figure out how to post a few pictures of the truck, as at this point it has not had any modifications since my dad purchased it back in the 30's. It is starting to look like working on the old truck will be easier than posting pictures!! British Columbia at this time of year is as nice as it can get, before the hot temperatures take over for July & August, and is much more interesting for driving than going though the prairie provinces, even though I was born in Alberta.

Check the lower left corner of this page for how to post pictures....and if you have problems drop a note in the IT Forum and someone will help you.
Basically, you load pictures to a photo hosting site, like photobucket or some other one, and then post a link here to the pictures.

In Dropbox you have to click on Share and then create a link. You can't just copy the link to the page your logged in to.

Your 38 looks like it has survived well for a 79 year old.
I should look so good.

and Leo did you drive across our fine country? if so we are only
5 min south off the #1 Trans Canada Highway one hour East of Calgary. You or anyone else is welcome to stop in for coffee or repairs.

Another test picture (1938 Chevrolet Pickup)
On post # 8, I am curious if only one picture can be viewed, or can all 4 pictures be viewed. (Still learning about this web site.) Thank you.

Thanks for the complement on the engine. I think that I have finally figured out how to post one picture at a time. Sooner or later, the light will come on how to post a group of pictures on the site!!
