It has the Split lock ring wheels and he wants to get rid of them and use a different type of wheel. The tire size is 6.50 by 20" and a 5 lug bolt pattern. What year of wheel and type from another truck will work on his truck? The lug pattern is 10 x 7.25". The front axle only uses 5 of the 10 studs, the rear uses all 10.
I would like to have a couple of his old wheels. Those should be 3-piece wheels. They are perfectly safe if they're in good shape. I have 6 that I restored and am using on my '50 1.5 ton, would like to have a spare or two.

In your reply, you mention and have the word, tubless, I think that is what you had, do you mean tubeless tire? 40chevypu Marv | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 Crusing in the Passing Lane | | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | GM used 5/10 lug, 22.5 tubeless wheels when tubeless tires first came out in the mid to late '50's, so look on old farm trucks for these wheels, about 5.5" wide which will mount 9.00 or narrower x 22.5" tires.

'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
