What, if there is such a paint, is a bullet proof high temp paint for my Fenton Exhaust Headers?
And what preparation is needed?
I just don't want to go to the expense of the ceramic coating; ($150 here in Southern Calif).

It's supposed to look like stainless and they call it that. It's more like cast iron silver once applied. It brushes on easily. Check out this pic. The intake is the paint. Looks good, but the intake isn't the test.
Rust will prevail, quickly, if the paint is porous.
Since you have the exact setup that I'm doing, why would you paint the aluminum intake?
On another not, I noticed a set screw plug in the front header. Where did you get that? And how did it fit? How many turns did you get?

The paint is supposed to work on the headers as well. I also used it to paint the waterpump, thermo housing, coolant lines to the intake, the transmission case and the master cylinder. So far it has held up well in all areas. The plugs for my headers came from napa. I don't remember how many turns, but it doesn't leak and went in easy. I will be installing an aluminum Edelbrock 2 x 1 on my 261. It was aluminum color and supposed to be good to like 2000 degrees or something. The headers looked very nice. Then I installed them and started the truck. They smoked and bubbled horribly in the first 5 minutes. After that, it just began to flake off. Really a drag.
