Just a quick question today; I've got my floors and firewall all done in the aluminum-faced 'Peel and Seal' type stuff. I also have a roll of the reflective 'bubble-wrap' that I'd like to start putting down and then a mat over top. From what I've ready, people have been cutting the sheets to fit, aluminum-taping the edges and then gluing them down.
I have one section trimmed and taped and before I go onto the next, or start gluing, I just wanted to see if anyone has done similar and may have advice/pics to share?
Thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 775 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 775 | I used it on the roof and behind the seat. I contact cemented two layers in both locations. I have some photo's but not much to see. | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 886 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 886 | Here is a couple of pictures I had. I used 3M super 77 spray glue to hold in place. Hope this helps. Have fun and good luck Dan | | | | Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 709 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 709 | Thanks GWWirth, Dan,
I finished the floor from seat riser to top of firewall. It went pretty good, I will have some pics to share shortly. | | | | Joined: Mar 2017 Posts: 6 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Mar 2017 Posts: 6 | I'm glad to see some are trying the bubble wrap because that is what I'm going to use. I'm in the HVAC field and the bubble wrap works very good for ductwork.
