He has to learn like the rest of us Welcome to the Stovebolt, Steve. I can't help you but someone else will come along. There were a couple mfg's that made the Utility things so hang tight. | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 2 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 2 | Shouting......geez. Thanks for the info. It is much appreciated. Does anyone have a clue what the value of this utility shelf would be? | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 | maybe throw it on eBay and see? | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,442 Bolter | Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,442 | I would think somewhere between $150 and $200. From the photos in the manual it would be pretty easy for a reasonably skilled sheet metal worker to build one.

I guess back in the day, they were just trucks... | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 | I have one on the gas tank of my 49 ford f-1.They were from the factory. | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 86 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 86 | There is one installed on my 1959. Nice place to store stuff out of the way. Downside is the seat would go back a little further without it. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you an e-mail with photos...the e-mail on your profile isn't working.

They are few and far between, so hang on to it for that guy who's restoring one and wants to keep it original.
My eyes don't see as good as they once did so I don't mind caps. They keep me from squinting....:)
