And I am looking at a air operated grease gun. something in the under $40 range. anyone have a reliable one? Thanks for any ideas | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Had a flat up town about a month ago. I had the little gizmo behind the seat and let it run for 15 minutes and could tell it did anything on my Silverado. If the tire has no weight on it I think it may get you enough to get to a station??? I do not like them! Let us know your experience with the air grease gun. I may be interested in one of those myself. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 273 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 273 | They work OK on little pee-pot cars like Corollas or Civics or smaller, and take about 7 - 10 minutes to get to 30 PSI. A little faster on bicycles and wheelbarrows if they're near the vehicle.
Using them on large truck tires is mostly a waste of time. That's what I found anyway.

Takes about 10 min with a 2hp compressor . Want the grease gun as arthritis has set in in both hands. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 844 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 844 | Milwaukee make a cordless grease gun heard no complaints anyone else have a comment

Worked great when it did, but it didn't last very long. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 367 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 367 | Sorry it took so long to reply . Went to town yesterday and stopped at my favorite parts store. They had a air operated grease gun for under $30. Looked good so I brought it home. uses the large grease cart. Loaded it up today and greased a old outboard. worked well, had enough pressure to push the old grease out. Think on the air comp I am going to find a small generator to drive my pancake compressor and see if that will blow up the tire. LG | | |
