How well does this work and is Eastwood the only supplier?

I have been using it for several years. You have to reapply it every year or two. Just rub/buff-in a little more dressing if/when rust starts showing through the dressing (apply a little more dressing with a toothbrush and buff/rub-it-off with a cloth).

Got my last from "Yogi's" but have since learned you can get it many places....the same goes for POR15 not. Many of the good sized Auto Finish/Paint Stores carry it.

A small can to a set 3 or 4 times and last a long time but it will dry out some so keep it air tight.

It looks like an interesting product, I definitely like the results I've seen. Some have complained that it remains 'greasy' to the touch. Has that been your experience too?

I've recommended Calyx to a lot of old-car owners.

In addition to the exhaust manifold, I've used it on other cast iron or rusty items such as leaf springs and brake pedal return spring. Apply with an old toothbrush. Wipe off excess with a rag. No problem with greasy feel, but I don't usually touch the manifold after I apply it.

Work into the metal (with a toothbrush or any brush) and wipe off gently whatever will wipe off. Then, run the engine to warmed-up, turn it off, and after it has cooled down enough to touch, gently wipe off the surfaces again.

I usually blast the manifolds and then put a sock on my hand and rub it in....The toothbrush doesn't work for me and the stuff goes everywhere. I guess I brush to hard?

After applying it helps to run the engine up to temp to cook it and you will have just a "tat" of a smell as the excess burns off. Then, if going to a cruise in I sometime just touch it up.
This is how I do it but it may not be best for everyone and a lot depends on it being on or off the vehicle and how hard/easy it is to get to it....but it does work.

I have a heavy wool sock, from when I lived in Scotland, long ago.

That will bring up fond memories when I "touch up" the Calyx. I'll then have a nippie sweetie.

I'm surprised there aren't more retailers handling this product. I was planning to paint the manifolds; however, I'm going to give this stuff a try instead.

BTW, it looks like there some other manifold dressing products out there and they don't get a very good user review. As always, buyer beware.....
