I live not far from Boise Idaho ..my truck is a 1971 Chevy Cheyenne. I have owned it for 15 years. I also have owned a few chevy cars and trucks with the ol 6 cylinders in them and now just recently bought a 39 chevy car with a 235 ci in it ..

I am going to really like reading the stories in this great forum that you have to share..

Welcome to the Stovebolt Page. Had a 71 myself a few years ago but it wasn't a Cheyenne but yet a good truck. I hauled watermelons on it for a couple years....do you haul potato's? Sorry just couldn't resist. smile
Also nice catch on the 39. We just can't have to many Bolts no matter what model.

Not sure how far you are from Ashton but I have a dear friend that moved there a few years ago. Drives a souped up 50 pickup. If you see it, you'll know it.

Any questions just ask in the garage forums and the guys and gals here will help you out.....also, your moderated for the first 4 post, which helps us keep out spammers and such, so post a few questions so you can send PM's (private messages) and enjoy all benefits. Don't forget to check the tech tip articles and check out the gallery pictures. Lots of info here right at your finger tips.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

I havn't hauled spuds yet,,but I could ,, I have hauled what I needed hauling, like OSB and other stuff I need hauling,, just don't throw it in. I will look around here on the site and hope to learn how to navigate on it.. I will need a lot of help to post any photos.

Idaho, many of us here have more than an old truck (I have a 50 coupe) but the Stovebolt Page is specifically dedicated to trucks.

However, there are many things that pertain to both car and truck and especially when related engine wise. If you have a question we can certainly help but you may be better to ask it, of all places, in the Greasy Spoon.

Its my opinion that engine questions, or driveline, that is the same as a truck, say like the 216-235-250-261-292 ect , can be asked in the Engine or Driveline Forum. I have ask 261 questions since that is what I have in my 50 coupe but out of respect for everyone I usually state that it is a truck engine that I have in the car.

....and lastly, if you should ask a question the moderator feels belongs elsewhere he will move it and also notify you that he has.
Just use good common sense.
