| | | | Joined: Dec 2016 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2016 Posts: 18 | Well I have heard enough to make a decision to build on the S-10 platform. I picked up a 1985 S-10 4X4 for $550.00 and got it into the shop today, I'll be ordering the conversion kit very soon and will get the body swap done (hopefully) by early summer. I will get with CSP to get the VIN numbers checked for the new builders title and start the transformation. I will get photos of the S-10 before we get going but I already have the '51 torn down and most of the priming done. I still have a few dents to pull out and one lower door panel to cut-out and replace but I am excited to get her back on the road as soon as I can.

Sunday I got the front clip off, the a/c heater unit salvaged the radiator and associated items from the front end removed. I installed the front bulkhead from EZ Chassis Swap and it went on fine then I realized that you need to install all of the parts that go on it before it is installed. Soooo I got it put back together and it looks nice. I removed the original radiator and cut the bottom off and bolted it on, so far so good. I took the radiator down to the local shop to have it cleaned and tested. Upon inspection it had a mouse nest inside of it.
I will clean and paint the radiator frame hopefully tomorrow and get it bolted down more securely.
I started on removing the bed on the S-10 but am having trouble with it; does anyone have any ideas why it isn't coming off? I took off the 6 bed bolts and the 4 fender support bars but it is fighting me. Any help would be great.
