I've used dawn for a garage sink soap but it took several applications and hot water and always felt 'heavy' so I had some diluted dr.Bronners in the house and so brought a hand pump out to the garage.
I'm amazed. A couple squirts of the dr bronners for prelube then a shot of dawn.
The castile in the bronners?
Something in it has a goop or hand cleaner feel.

..... But I truly like the ORIGINAL GoJo. Hard to find now but you can get it with a CARQUEST brand name on it. Also GoJo is the only cleaner that I found that will cut the stain off my hands when I do woodwork. (I hate the stuff with sand in it)

They make several types now but I'm old fashioned so it's peppermint for me.
My suspicion is any good castile type liquid soap would act the same.
Diluted 10:1 or so I guess. I haven't tried the Dr Bronners straight for this but now I'll have to give it a go.
For the fingerprint grime I add a bit to my ever useful cheap carpet scrap scuff/buff/ziffermop/window/floor/hand washing pad. Softer than a grey scuff is about where I put it for abrasion.

I use some (different brand) for obvious situations but the cost advantage still goes to the soap...
