This may seem like a dumb Q for some of you but I don't recall seeing this at Wallyworld. grin So where does one go to get this stuff? Anything else I need to know about which one to buy? There may be othere pertinent questions I'm not but should be asking so feel free to enlighten me. And thanks in advance.

All the Holmes Depots in my area carry the actual "Bondo" products. Well, I don't know if they have the hair stuff but, they've got the lighter skim coat stuff.
Autozone has stuff as well. Couple different brands including Bondo.
You might check out a local auto body/paint store. My local carries Evercoat.

Kmart carries both the fiberglass and plastic Bondo brand body fillers in our area. There are a lot of other brands out there, so check with your local auto parts store too.

Never be afraid to ask a question, if you want to know, then there are probably 100's out there that want to ask. I was in the auto body field for 20 years before going to the fire service. Use a high qualty, "LITE" filler, it may be more expensive but worth the savings in sand paper, labour and frustration. Look in your local phone directory for Auto Body shop suppliers, they would have the best selection and in all reality the best advice. The hard part for people new to bodywork is to know when to stop sanding. Take your time, stop often to "feel" the work and keep the paper sharp. Follow the directions of the manufacturer. It's better to add more hardener then less, it has been proven that bleed through (spots in the paint in areas of filler)is the result of insufficent hardening. If you wish send a PM and i'll give you what info I have. Good luck

Click here for the best filler there is, EverCoat. Give them an email and find out where the nearest distributor is.

Pull out your phone book and look under "automobile paint supplies". Or go to a body shop in town and ask them where they get their supplies. There is a paint store in the area I am sure of it. They will have all the supplies with paint, plastic fillers (bondo)tools, etc.

If all else fails, NAPA Auto parts stores distribute Evercoat products under the Martin Senour paint line.

But give the phone book and or a shop a try.
