Lucy is do well but my bench seat will eventually need some work, my frame and springs need a quick coats of paint but the material is starting to have a few splits in it, I saw Jim Carter has a reapolstering kit and new material ready to put on the springs, has anyone ever used this kit? Is it somthing that will last?

I bought one of their kits earlier this year. I installed it and didn't like the way the corners fit. There were wrinkles and puckers at the corners. I then took it to an auto upholstery shop. They had to do some minor alterations to get it to fit tight and look right. I thought initially the cause might be the springs and/or foam were the problem, but they said they looked and felt fine. The previous owner had redone the seat cushions, but they were never used. Unfortunately, he had used a light cream color material that is incorrect for my preferred restoration.
