400 tranny - it is a 1963 chevy - six lug / original rear
just did a brake job/suspension/shocks/60's rubber/
10inch wheels - what can i do to lessen the noise

You could increase the tire size to lower the RPM's. Change the muffler or exhaust exiting point. Just some idea's off the top of my head.

interior / used 3 cans of that bedliner stuff to the flooring
then on top some sound deadner padding - the noise is
mostly when slowing down / when is downshifting :confused:

I used to have a '72 Malibu with a TH350 that did the "whining" or "whirring" thing on decel all the time...a couple of local old timers told me that was pretty normal for the GM 3-speed autos. sound barriers - local shop tells me to double
the floor padding with good sound deadening
material this will help cancel the noise - got
to check those bearings though :rolleyes:
