How much rotational movement on the distributor when vacuum advance takes over when revving the engine? How do I correct this so the grease cup sets at the six o'clock position and the cap clips are horizontal to the engine block? Right now the cap clips are at the 8 o'clock and 2 o'clock position.

That will change the relationship between the grease cup and the vacuum chamber. Jerry

Just align the BB, turn the housing one position clockwise on the distributor cap/rotor relationship and walk the wires back, then reset the timing. Jerry
