There are a few of us in the Colorado Springs area. - Probably time to do another Gabfest if anyone is interested. Maybe do one in Castle Rock so we can get a larger group together? Any thoughts?

I just noticed an orange and white 67-72 pickup parked nose to nose with a dark blue? early/mid 50's pickup right around the corner. There are also a bunch of other interesting vic's there. Anyone know who this might be?

Just noticed some activity here! I am from Parker CO.

I have a 46 PK (1.5 ton) but it is being turned into a 5/8 ton street rod. 5/8 ton you ask? The rails on the large trucks are straight all the way back so you can place the axle anywhere when you are swapping out rear suspension. I placed the axle so that I have 120" WB. 1/2 tons are 115" and 3/4 tons are 125". I am just about done with the chassis. Have to build a custom bed and then lots of cab work.

Hello Dan, we don't get much business here. But feel free to post as much as you want.
(other than buying/selling/trading--- keep that in the swapmeet forum)

Don't know how much they cost now but years ago I purchased my bumpers from Bumper Boyz in Ca. and they have held up good.

Anyone with a 41-46 1/2 ton pickup near Johnstown? (Loveland/Fort Collins/Windsor, ect...). I'm dying to get some measurements directly off someone's truck to figure out the constraints of my next project. I promise no scratches!

I'm a new "Stovebolter" living just east of Colorado Springs. Restoring my grandfather's 1951 Chevrolet 3100. Look forward to learning from you all.

Jim,

Will do. Are you over by Schriever or farther East? I have quite a ways to go on my '51. I've thought about swinging in the pick and pull off of 94 to see what they have.

Karl,

Nice to see some 'bolters in the Springs. Seems like the majority of the Rocky Mountain members are Denver and North.

Anderson's just east of Greeley has a "pull a part" that gets an occasional vintage vehicle, and their prices are good. There is another place between Loveland and Greeley on the North side of 34 that has some old vics, but they are expensive. I've heard about another place that is south of Greeley, but have not gone out there.
