Normally you should be able to pry it back on but I wonder why it came off. Good idea to make sure the pivot ball isn't badly worn. Also, make sure the clutch pedal linkage is properly adjusted. If the fork arm is contacting the bell when the pedal is in the full down position, then that would have enough leverage to pop the fork off the pivot ball. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,799 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,799 | Even if the retainer spring is worn out or broken, if the clutch free play is properly adjusted the fork can't move out of position. If the ball is worn out or broken off, it's time to remove the transmission and maybe the bellhousing and replace the pivot ball. Later ones installed from the back of the bellhousing with a big Allen wrench- - -not sure about yours.
