I want to lower the truck some like 3 or 4 inches so was thinking of using posies or something similar. Did you use original style springs that I believe are 1 3/4" wide ? I have never heard anyone say they used the Explorer springs so assuming they don't fit ? and what about the driveline ? did you have to have one made ? Other rear end I was thinking about is 68-74 Nova but hard to find and gear ratios are too high. Like the Explorer idea because easy and cheap to find and want the 3:73 gears. I suppose he has 10-15 stacked outside his shop now. He does a lot of conversions for folks. Yours out, 8.8 in and charging around 1200 for a turn key job....I THINK that's the price. I haven't had a chance to compare them side by side, but wouldn't it be nice if that one could be adapted to the Chevy 3/4 ton housing?
