A local guy repaired the cab with new cab corners and a floor pan/toe board panels. I am trying re aling the brake pedal, but he hole is about a quarter inch lower than the pedal...my question is whether it is best to shim up the cab to create alignment or to enlarge the pedal hole to make the fit??? I think a quarter inch shim on each side will do the job, but will this mess up the alignment of the fenders?

be best to make sure the cab is properly positioned and mounted, and loosely fitting the front metal will help w/ that

It's about a 1/4". | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 343 Member | | Member Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 343 | The factory assembly manual does have specifications for cab height off the frame rails. I would make sure that the cab height is within spec and then adjust the holes in the floor boards as necessary. I am in the process of installing after market floor boards in my truck and they definitely need to be modified to make them work correctly. I had to drill many holes and add metal in other areas, but I have not even tried to see how the pedals are going to fit yet.
