Glenn, | | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 425 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 425 | did you put the weatherstrip on the glass first? if not, that's what you should do..... and take a good piece of string and wrap around it and allow the ends to stick out... when you get the weatherstrip started in the window, you can pull on that string to help the weatherstrip go in place | | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 154 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 154 | I struggled with mine also, but I put the rubber in the opening then fed in the glass with lots of soapy lubricant, I taped up the area around to keep from scratching and used several plastic putty knives. I actually had more trouble with the rear window than the corners, in fact I changed from Chevyduty rubber to Steele to get the rear window in, as the Steele was softer and less bulky. Problem solved. I went out the next day and started on the opposite window. The weatherstrip looked like it had a larger channel. Sure enough, the side that was giving me grief had a smaller channel(rear window seal). With the proper larger channel seal the windows went right in. Those kind of things really tick you off. I spent hours trying to get that bad one in.
