a local guy saw our truck and told me he bought a 51 like ours

i looked this morning in several catalogs to find him a 'truck identification door plate'' for the DMV
so he could register his new find. he has the old DMV paper work but needs a door tag.

i couldn't find which company sells them

You are going to need the proper rivets not just pop rivets. I got them from The Filling Station.

When I registered my 52 3100 in California it was out of the system and had not been registered for 24 years. I had a valid door plate and had downloaded all the information that it revealed and the CHP could care less. Since the original ID used the engine number that was all they would look at. Unfortunately the engine had been changed to a 1953 216 and it took about 3 weeks to get it all straightened out.
