Below is the link to my photobucket showing the result of my 5-year homebuild of a barn-find 1958 Chevy Apache Fleetside longbed. She's a highway cruiser, 5.3 vortec (flex-fuel)/4L60e tranny, TCI 4-link rear/ Currie Ford 9" w/3.25 rear end. Designer Dozen Nominee at '08 Syracuse Nationals. No trailer queen; she's built to drive; day after the show set out on a 4,000 mile roadtrip. Working on a book about hot rodding at the end of the fossil fuel era, she's my calling card to conversations/ interviews with car folk. See my website at www.drivewhatyoubuild.com . Next three summers on the road all over America. Images at:

Welcome to the Bolt DrD. With your completion and sucessful restoration or your truck I'm sure you have much you can contribute to the Bolt. Nice pictures and a honorable project to go cruising across America. Also nice topic to cover.
While on your road trip just put down Achipmunk at 111 Glyn Oaks Dr. Boiling Springs, S.C., as a stop on your tour and for some good hot dogs or BBQ.
Bring it on down !!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Hello RAK, I'll be working my way to the coast summer 2010. I'll contact you; here in upstate NY fingerlakes region there are some nice whites, that's about it. This summer I am visiting with rodders and restorers in the mid-west. Should be interesting. You, of course, are welcome out here. She is a driver, right? She looks very good. Best regards, David
