I know about the 1154 & the 12V 1157. The 1158 is the same C.P. as the 1154.
The C.P. on the 1154 is 21/3 while the 1157 (12V) is 32/3. I was told the 1157 came in 6V but this info. was apparently wrong.
Was trying for a brighter stop light W/O going to LED's. Guess I'll stick with the 1154's.

I'll delete the your other on the same subject. On topic, spray paint the inside of your housing gloss white if you haven't already. Also make sure you're using plastic lenses, they let more light through than the glass lenses.

I do not believe this is a double post. This post was asking for a source. The other post is asking for a determination of candle power. I see it as 2 different subjects. I think you should have given me an opportunity to explain before deleting my post. Now there is no way to get the answer I want.

Nuf said. FYI the 1158 is not a 6v 1157 equivalent. It has parallel ears on the base where the 1157 & 1154 are offset. They require different sockets.
