Looks great. Especially the Pats logo! Put a a big bed on it and it will a make a fine tailgate machine.

that is looking great! What rear are you putting in it?Also, what brakes on the front? Are you changing out the master cylinder and Hydravac as well?

I just added/uploaded the hydroboost pics.
I installed it near where the hydrovac was. I have it sitting on the frame rail. I wanted to use the original pedals.
I followed Griggs advice and got the front hubs/ disk brakes from a chevy 3500/p30 , mid 90's
We used the original axle from the coe. See Grigg's sticky(Disc brakes for 3/4, 1, 1.5, and 2 ton trucks) on this forum.
I got the rear axle from a roach coach. It is from a chevy 3500. I had to use the original spring seats from my axle and weld them on to the new axle as the modern leafs are wider.
At this point, I have to run brake lines, and the pump for the hydroboost. Then I can start on the body.
I am undecided to leave the original patina or paint it

Perhaps a heat shield between the exhaust and the carb will be required.

Absolutely, I do plan on a heat shield, Im glad you reminded me.
I did forget.

Thin steel, Al would probably not last due to vibration.
