For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 125 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 125 | Im looking for a photo of a CCP or similar make of dual master cylinder, booster and prop. valve installed in a 53 3100 or similar year with an automatic transmission installed. Im having difficulty visualizing the installation. | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 | About half way down this page. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 125 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 125 | Thank you both for the photos. My drivers side floor is rusted out in places so I will likely cut it out and make life easier for the installation. Cletis what did you use for a cross member? Mine is a heavy chunk of iron from another vehicle that I would likely have to butcher to get the cylinder and prop valve in. I assume that the prop valve could be located elsewhere if it were replumbed. The Pirate Jack unit looks good with the shorter push rod. Mine will be like yours Cletis so will have some remedial work to do. | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 | I got the crossmember from CPP too. The story on it is here. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 125 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 125 | Thanks Cletis. I think a cross member fastened to the bottom of the frame may clear the Cylinder and prop valve. I have no idea how long the unit is from brake pedal to end of cylinder. I have a TH350 in my truck. | | |
