Just wanted everyone to know with the help of my wonderful Daughter we got the bed off of my truck. I will now be removing the old rear end and hopefully installing the one from the 1968 chevy pickup. Before I do that I will be sure and measure everything. If it looks "iffy" I'll locate another one. I really hope it works out. Going from a 3:90 to a 3:73 should be good for the road. I'll try and keep everyone updated. Steven

Steven, I have the 3.73 Malibu rearend under my hotrod 37 and it is a good gear. 6 or V8.
I'll bet it was a Kodak moment with your daughter helping to remove the old bed. Pictures...pictures, we need pictures.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

She'll be helping me some more and I'll get some pictures for you. Thanks for the info on the 3:73's. That's good to hear.

made a mistake. The rear end is out of a 1969 Chevy 2-wheel drive. Sorry about that. Steven
