Will the third member from a 55 up car fit in the housing. Will a Camero or Chevelle rear end be the right width? Any advice is appreciated. George They say money can't buy happiness. I can see what he used. I know it's a GM rear, but I'm not sure what it is out of.

I forgot I was on the truck board. I come here for information on the stovebolt motors. I put the rear end in a 52 Chevy wagon, not a truck, so there will be a lot of differences.
SORRY, Jim

We kept missing each other. I did get up with him last night, though. He used a rear from a '71 Camaro. Said it was about an inch wider than the stock rear from the '50. He also mentioned that the '53s do have a wider rear, though, and that one from a Chevelle or Malibu will work fine, too.
