Has anyone had any dealings with this company? I ordered doors back in January, and was trying to get a hold to check on the status. I have sent numerous emails and a few phone calls, and no one will get back to me. Any ideas?

Tony is known to a number of us and have seen his shop. He hasn't been on the site for several years.

I know he's moved for a bigger shop two or three times. I suspect "ol trucks" will know if he sees the is message.

Both Tony and Mike are crazy busy. Mongo sent this thread to Tony's Facebook page. Hopefully, you'll hear from him.

That's the hard thing about being really good. And getting bigger. You get exhausted trying to keep up the "good" and "big" parts.

I can appreciate being busy...I have a grocery business and a small beef cattle business on the side. I am not trying to be a pest with Tony...I am just trying to coordinate my time and the man painting my truck.

Don't worry about being a pest. But do pester him until you hear back from him. Keep your message short and sweet ... he or Mike Taylor will get back to you, I'm sure.

You will be one of those "little things" he can get out of the stack.

This 65 is my first rebuild, so I am getting anxious to complete it. In the mean time I bought a 62 step side late last fall, so I can enjoy driving that until I get the 65 on the road.

That's a little too busy for me. 2-3 months? If you are sure you have the correct phone number and email address and they do not respond, move on to plan B. Not passing any judgment. You can use them again later on for something else. You should have been searching the internet/craigslist for doors/donor trucks. This hobby takes a lot of scrounging. You can't sit back and order everything. You build a network of forums, people, search places, bone yards and wanted ads. The 64, 65 and 66 years all fit. There's re-skinning or repairing your old doors.
As mentioned, he has not posted since 2014 so could be some sort of sign. No excuse for not responding, if that is actually the case. Not sure what "order" means. Saw specific doors for sale on line and clicked, talked to a real person on phone and ordered ???? Paid money? Credit card payment posted on your account???
Customers are not pests. I'm sure they don't see you as a pest.

I just received 4 small items for my 63' the other day. They were only a week getting to me.
Correspondence was via yahoo email.

My credit card was charged for the doors the last week of January...I believe. I think someone should have 2 minutes to text , email , or call to give me an update. I will keep on trying to get an answer.

We can not really comment further. Tony is/was a good member. You are a member. Several know him. We only have one side of the story. Others seem to have had good experiences. You will have to handle it as you would any other company. If you feel you need to act, see if your credit card company will "cancel" or ask them what you can do ASAP. When an online, or other, company or person, charges you money and does not deliver it is actually fraud. I'm sure there is some explanation. Save all emails and communication.
Hopefully someone may read this post and notify him and he will respond. Please advise of the outcome so as not to besmirch anyone.
And check your junk mail!!!!! and make sure your mailbox is not full and all that stuff!!!! In case they have actually contacted you.

I contacted my credit card provider, and they are putting a dispute on my purchase.
I requested parts from him with a friends email address, and he responded the next day, but doesn't answer mine.

I agree. I don't think 65 is trying to trash him. Good idea to cancel the charge. I would have done the same - even tho we know Tony well.

It could, in fact, be a communication glitch. Maybe your email address is going to his junk mail. Try the friends address again. He would not be in business long if he did this much. There are very recent dealings mentioned here, so it's a com problem, that's all. Something not getting thru to him. Slipped thru the crack, but you do have to restart at this point. Email problem..maybe. Got another response this morning in my friends email. That doesn't explain no return phone calls. I don't have Tony or Mikes cell phones. If anyone has them , I can try them.

Maybe you could tell us what the response was so we are not left in the dark. Wouldn't the response be important to the story? If the friends email works, it would solve the communication issue. Right? Like,

1. Do you actually have doors?
2. Do you have a record of my payment?
3. Did you get my calls and emails?
4. Did you ship them? When?
4. Call me by today or I want to cancel.

If the friends email works, get your info that way. Your "email to them" stream is screwed up. Don't fight that. Roll with it.
I don't get this story, starting to sound fishy from you now. They ARE responding but you don't say what they said, very odd? You don't need their personal cell number. Email your friend the message, he forwards it and sends you the response.

I had my friend request parts for his truck , to see if he would get a response. Tony replied the next day asking for specifics to insure the correct parts. I responded through my friends email and got a response that he did not have that part, and he gave other numbers to call.
On Tuesday morning I responded by telling him it was me,on my friends email. I asked him to call , text,or email me,so I could find to discuss our problem. As of this morning..nothing!
As to your point. My email stream is screwed up...my phones are working fine!

In my opinion it does not matter who is responding to whom. Bad emails, no calls, can't get phone numbers, etc. From what you've said, I would stop trying to contact or trick him or whatever. I would concentrate on getting the money reversed/refunded and ONLY that. No more "lets discuss our problem". Get the money, forget this drama bit and move on. If you can't get the money, get a lawyer. You don't need a phone call. You are not going to get a phone call. Nothing to discuss. You two are not clicking, you do not really want to do any business now. Too much history. If you are trying to contact to ball him out, forget that. The law probably says you need at least one message (proof), that you ask for your money back. Seller does not know that yet?

Okay, just got off the phone with Tony. Just so this isn't just hanging ... Tony had some surgery last April that had him laid up for quite a while. Mike Taylor is still there working with him and they are trying their best to get caught up.

Tony did sent 65 an email several times and they were kicked back. Sometimes the emails don't come back (bounced) right away (happens here, too). Like many of us, Tony works days doing certain things and probably does emails and paperwork early in the morning until ate at night.

As Ken said, get down to it. Give Tony a phone call 913) 207-7789. He wants to get this resolved with you.

We think Tony is a good guy and it was good to talk to him today. We know what it's like to have an illness throw a monkey wrench in the works; and sometimes "extra helpers" can only help with certain things. In this business, it is best to have someone who knows what they are doing. We are also glad to hear that his health has turned a corner (after a whole year -- been there, too).

65 - give him a call and then PM to let me know how it worked out. For now, I am going to close this thread. You have the three parts to the tale (Tony, Mike and the bad communication). Give him a call.

And for all you guys who sent me emails concerned about Tony, I passed on your regards to him and it meant a lot to him.

Just wanted to let everyone know that after a pretty long time, this was finally resolved. "65" got his money back.

Tony is swamped. They are selling more work, than they can produce. Unfortunately, they are struggling to find top-shelf sheet metal techs, that can recondition all of the sheet metal work they are encountering.

Hope Tony will be able to stay on top of things.
