There is a guy selling rebuilt engines in Fresno, Ca. Says he is Stovebolt King and rebuilds engines and sells them on eBay. Does anyone know if these engines are rebuilt well, or hear anything negative? Thanks

At least he isn't asking for something rediculous, like $8,000.00. You can buy a lot of suckers for that extra $4.01.

I think I'd rather do business with the QUEEN of Stovebolt. This King-dude, well, he needs to do a fit-rep for his PR person. grin

Peggy, how would that work- - - -doing business with yourself?

Anybody who wants $8K for a rebuilt engine, PLUS a "good rebuildable core" has got to have a double-jointed elbow so he can pat himself on the back!

Wow. I have just learned of another racing capital of America. I was always told it was the 3 counties surrounding Charlotte, NC!?:)

I used to spend a lot of time in Fresno, while I was driving a diesel for a living. That town had a different claim to fame with us truckers. Trying to catch a few hours of sleep in a truck stop parking lot was a total waste of time with all the lot lizards knocking on our doors. We called the place "Hooker City"!

You all are too parochial and you are cheapskates.

NC/Indianapolis is old school "racing capital".

If you want 250+ ponies under the hood (especially from a 261), you will have to pay for them (pay for an independent dyno test, too).

Wow- a fit rep... bust out the Christmas tree!

Brad
(background- the "fitness report" score/results looks similar to a Christmas tree shape; nothing to do with the obvious coincidence)
