I was hoping you guys could recommend a good source of rubber boots for the floor pedals on my 1950 3100. Most of the imported crap won't last 6 months. Thanks.

Look for machine "bellows" at this website or at other machinery or tractor shops.

This is if you want them to "last"... they are fit & function, but not original.

Was there a boot/bellows for the (1950 3100):
- accelerator/gas pedal rod
- brake & clutch pedal rods

There was a bellows/seal/boot on the:
- starter pedal rod
- parking brake pedal/rod

Tim,

Are you familiar with this AD boot, is this for a parking brake lever?

https://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/6644/Chevrolet_Emergency_Brake_Pedal_Boot_Under_Floor_.html

Look a lot like the TF boot, just not sure if it's big enough...

Thanks,

Mike,

That boot (shown upside-down) is held under the floor-hole with this retainer.

OK, that's not what the TF truck use. The boot looked smaller than what we TF guys need, our trim ring is about a 4" x 6" rectangle (had to ask to be sure).

Thanks,

I saw a picture of one with the screws, unless the screws are super long, it is quite a bit smaller than the TF park brake boot we all need.

I wonder where 6XChevy is. I am curious what he considers to be "rubber boots for the floor pedals."

I guess I should have used the terms grommets or seals. I am looking to replace the grommets around all the foot pedals and haven't had much luck with the imported stuff most vendors sell. Appreciate it.

Are you referring to a 1950 Chevrolet light truck?

If they are not like to parts at the links I posted above, would you please post links to photos of the areas where the grommets are located?

Does your left floorboard ("toe board"), where the pedals go through the floor/wall/board, look like this ?

I am referring to my 1950 AD, I am thinking about trying the starter bellows seal and parking brake boot from Chevys of the 40's. I guess their products are as good as any available. Does the starter pedal button screw off? Do you use a pipe wrench to loosen it? Appreciate it.

Yes, the button screws off. Mine has two flats so you can get a wrench on it, you will have to hold the rod with pipe wrench or vise grips. If you can't get a wrench on the button you may have to use two pipe wrenches. good luck root
