Most of the imported crap won't last 6 months. Thanks. | | | | Joined: Apr 2014 Posts: 924 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2014 Posts: 924 | Look for machine "bellows" at this website or at other machinery or tractor shops. This is if you want them to "last"... they are fit & function, but not original. The boot looked smaller than what we TF guys need, our trim ring is about a 4" x 6" rectangle (had to ask to be sure). I am curious what he considers to be "rubber boots for the floor pedals." Carl

I am looking to replace the grommets around all the foot pedals and haven't had much luck with the imported stuff most vendors sell. Appreciate it. | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | Are you referring to a 1950 Chevrolet light truck? If they are not like to parts at the links I posted above, would you please post links to photos of the areas where the grommets are located? Does your left floorboard ("toe board"), where the pedals go through the floor/wall/board, look like this ? | | | | Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 43 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 43 | I am referring to my 1950 AD, I am thinking about trying the starter bellows seal and parking brake boot from Chevys of the 40's. I guess their products are as good as any available. Does the starter pedal button screw off? Do you use a pipe wrench to loosen it? Appreciate it. | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 339 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 339 | Yes, the button screws off. Mine has two flats so you can get a wrench on it, you will have to hold the rod with pipe wrench or vise grips. If you can't get a wrench on the button you may have to use two pipe wrenches. good luck root | | |
