Boy I wish the window trim came with install instructions.
Anyways, on the interior window trim that screw into place, is there supposed to be a spring clip on bottom of that piece ?
The interior piece seems to squeeze the window channel tight, is this correct? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | They are sort of a tight press fit, push it into the door frame and start all screws but don't tighten until they are all made. The making can require some pushing and prying, I bought a cheap set of nylon trim paddles from Harbor Frieght, they are good and don't mark up the surfaces. It does fit tight against the window channel and you want to install it with the window rolled down. It will seem like it won't fit but it will with some gentle persuasion here and there. I did have a couple of screw in, but thought it looked wrong and removed.
Will try again tonite | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 | I use a 5 inch long piece of stiff, straight wire (1/16 inch TIG wire works well) to insert through the trim and into the hole in the door. Inserting this wire serves as a visual aid to determine the exact angle in which to align the screw to get it started.

but finally got both sides in
Now the rubber trim into channel, any suggestions ???? | | |
