hi all, I need to get a fuel guage and sending unit for the fuel tank for my '53 chevy 1/2 ton, since they are both shot. original tank behind the seat. does anyone have a recommendation on where the best place to get those items from would be? I would like to get a 12v guage, since my truck is 12v and i'd rather not run an inline resistor, but I have read where some 12v gauges don't fit properly because they are a bit bigger than the original guage, and they rub on the glass. any advice would be appreciated thanks

I'm not sure which, if not all, vendors handle the gauges you are looking for. However, since most come from the same place/manufacturer I shop around. For me, I have found the Truck Shop to have the best assortment, and prices, on a lot of gauges. I've not had any problems with my 12v gauges fitting in my 52 panel.

$58 here.

I've been running TRUCK SHOP gauge for three years. No problem.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
