| | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 255 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 255 | I am upgrading my tires and replacing a couple of the wheels on my 1948-3/4 ton daily driver and thought I would paint the wheels while I have them dismounted. I cannot find my restoration guide and would like to know what color the wheels are supposed to be. I looked in the Stovebolt Gallery and could not come up with a consensus for the years near mine. My truck is not original color, but is supposed to be Brewster green and will be again someday. It did have the Cream medium Stripe at one time. The wheels are safety wheels, 15" - 8 hole and mostly black. I am replacing a couple of wobbly wheels with straight replacements from my 51 rolling chassis. I am leaning to cream. This is just going to be a spray can job until I can afford the paint the truck properly. Thanks in advance for any help.
