I was wondering if anyone has cut out the interior door skin then sand blasted the inside of the door then welded the skin back in place. Will that work? That opening in the bottem corner is almost to small to do anything. Any suggestions. Thanks!

Sandblasting will only remove the "pickle" and make them rust through faster. I would just introduce a good amount of POR-15 or Zerorust and slosh it around in there until you think they are completely coated inside. After removing the latches and window hardware, of course.

I have them down bare bones right now. Zero Rust was the plan from the get go after blasting. But I guess basting both side of it might be to much.

I had rust on a truck once. The truck was from IL ofcourse.
