Hi, Just want to jump in a say Hi from a cold and snowy Bryantown, Md I've been a gearhead since I was a kid, and now that I'm retired, I hope to get working on some of my toys. The reason I joined Stovebolt. com is I just purchased a 1959 Cnevy Apache that spent its first 54 years in Palm Springs, CA. It's amazingly solid but faded and has its fair share of dents and dings. It's all stock with the exception of a T5 transmission which really makes it a good all round driver. I'm still debating which way to go with it ... Stock ... Resto Mod ...hot rod, etc.

gwsut, welcome to the Stovebolt. Not sure what a cartographer is but it don't matter. Your a Stovebolt man!! Congrats on the Apache. Like to have one of those myself. Love the twin headlights.
We have the Stovebolt HOMECOMNIG coming up in a two or three months in Mechanicsville Md. It'd be nice if you can make it. Meet a lot of the local guys there and some from afar that make the journey.
Be sure to take lots of pictures and post us up a link to a few of them. We're here to help so don't be bashful. Ask questions in the garage forums and all the great guys and gals help you with your problems.
See ya around the garage.

Welcome gwsut! You could almost WALK to Homecoming. It's usually the last week of April. Look forward to meeting you.

Welcome gwsut
Hope you get dug out of the snow alright.
Alvin and Victor are right, the Homecoming is a must do event.
I'm planning on being there again this year and you don't need a running truck to attend, just be there.
If the weather gets better up your way, the JYT (Junk Yard Tour) is coming up also.
During the time you are snowed in, check out the chatter that has been going on with the ODSS folks.
Don't let them scare you though, they are a great bunch.

Achipmonk,
A cartographer is a map maker. I started out as a pen and ink draftsman and 37 years later I retired making computer assisted digital geospatial data.
