I have a 250 six installed in my 50 chev AD the fan sits too low and has some cooling issues .. is there a way to move the water pump or just the fan blades to centre it on the rad?

I have not developed an adapter plate for those engines, but I would think the adapter design I sell for 235's could be made for those engines.
Here is some info on the 235 adapter.

I had a similar issue with a 350 install. I modified the original radiator support (measure/cut/weld/remeasure/re-cut/re-weld) to allow me to lower the radiator. My issue was more related to making clearance for the fan blade and auto-transmission/radiator coolant lines, but also put the fan in the right place.

Fast Fredy, you are not alone with your problem which is an often repeated problem here. Electric fans have come a long way and today is on most all cars. With the reliability proven on them I'd recommend going to a junk yard and finding one that will work on your truck.
....but, to save gas, time, and a few 4 letter words, buy a GOOD electric fan with the temp control to kick it on and off and you'll never be sorry. I learned my lesson the hard way.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Wire it "hot" with the key only, so it doesn't run your battery down when you park it.
