I hadn't thought about it until I read this posting, but I purchased another GM product, a few years back, that served a good portion of its life as a wrecker in Oklahoma. My wrecker was based on a 1930 LaSalle. Somewhere I have a picture of it "as found". If I can locate the file I will post just so you can see what was done in the past. The LaSalle was heavier than the Chev trucks and most of the GMC's, Dodges, Fords etc. Good luck with your wrecker.

PS: The LaSalle is in the middle of being re-bodied back as an original roadster.
