So I'm trying to buy brake pads. Yet my drums measure 12" and have 8 lugs

So the young lady at a major parts house says they have 11" and 13" . Now she did seen new and was referencing their catalogs. So I believe what she said.

This is for a 52 3600. Yet my brake drums seem odd. Rear end # KGp02

I'm afraid you aren't going to be able to buy them over the counter anywhere. Parts for the 3/4 ton 3600 rear ends are few and far between. The number of 3600's vs 3100's was a much smaller production run so reproduction manufactures simply won't tool up and make parts. I took mine to a brake shop that would still re-line them. If you have yours that would probably be the best bet.

Juliean, There is a place on the "Gerogia side" of Greenville that does brake shoe reline but for the life of me I can't remember the name. A big tractor trailer shop would be a good place to ask for a place that does it....just find the oldest looking guy and ask him!

EDIT: this place advertises doing the reline and other stuff. You may want to check them out?

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Nothing unusual about that rear end. Its an Eaton HO52. Its bulletproof but no one makes any parts for it. Mines laying in the shed for that reason. I did a complete rear end swap out to a Dana 60 with a 3.73 ratio for better highway speeds and parts availability
